Throughout our time in India we’ve become increasingly giggly over typos/spelling errors printed on signs, in menus etc. Whilst we’re more than aware that our Hindi is completely crap, we haven’t been able to control the childish hysterics that erupt from English errors. Below are our favourite three typos to date.
3 – Snacks turning into “Snakes”. With one of the snakes on offer being “Finger cheeps” (Chips).
2 – Chocolate Crepe announcing itself as “Choclate Crap” on a menu in Varkala.
1 – Diet Coke written as “Diet Cock” in a cafe advert in Bundi. Finally an alternative to regular cock! Ha ha, it took us hours to compose ourselves!
.
Update- Since writing this post my sister reminded me of another typo which we think deserves a mention. I don’t know how I managed to omit it in the first place. Whilst in Goa we were presented with a flyer inviting us to an “Electronic Fuck” party. Hilarious in a slightly creepy unnerving kind of way.

HAHAHAH diet cock
Haha, I do the same thing. Just today I’m staying at a hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand, that has “great atmospear”. But that’s not nearly as humorous as your top three examples in India.
Ha ha… ‘atmospear’ is pretty good though!
