Goodbye Mumbai.

Today’s been very nondescript. We had a lie in this morning (till about 9am which is a record amount of sleeping for us on this trip) then spent the morning wandering aimlessly, getting lost but enjoying the sights, smells and sounds of Mumbai. We caught up with home on the internet for a while before heading back to check out of the hotel. A small drama ensued when a pigeon managed to fly through the bars of the cage balcony and into our room. Lynsey remained calmer than I did and successfully chased it away. We sat in Leopold’s to waste a bit of time before heading to Victoria Terminus where we will (all going well) catch our train to Margao, Goa. Fingers crossed that navigating the station doesn’t turn into too much of a fiasco. Off for one last walk down Colaba Causeway then we’ll say goodbye to Mumbai.

A fairly rubbish picture of the crowds inside Victoria Terminus, Mumbai.

About fiona

My name is Fiona and I'm 28 years old. On the 21st October 2009 my sister and I quit our jobs, left our little town in Scotland and set off for an eight month adventure that would take us through India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. My Family had hoped the trip would rid me of the urge to travel and expected me to settle down on my return. I had other ideas. In my mind the trip had been a great learning experience, a practice run. In February 2012 I’ll be excitedly returning to India where I’ll spend my first month as a solo traveler. May our paths be destined to cross...
