Kanchanaburi – Bangkok.

Buddha, Wat Pho, Bangkok.

Two very chilled out days were spent in Kanchanaburi before returning to Bangkok on 3rd May 2010. We were a bit teary during the journey as it’d be the last one we’d take together on this trip.  The next journey Lyns would be on, would take her to the airport for her flight to Belfast. We returned to the hotel we stayed in previously and spent the day shopping for gifts Lyns would take home with her and chilling by the pool.  The following days were taken up with dress fittings and acquiring dreadful sunburn! Obviously, we will never learn! We visited Wat Pho and spent a few hours over drinks by the river. Lots of snack stops and copious amounts of aftersun before an early night.  The following day would be the final one of our trip together.  There were many tears at the thought of it.

About fiona

My name is Fiona and I'm 28 years old. On the 21st October 2009 my sister and I quit our jobs, left our little town in Scotland and set off for an eight month adventure that would take us through India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. My Family had hoped the trip would rid me of the urge to travel and expected me to settle down on my return. I had other ideas. In my mind the trip had been a great learning experience, a practice run. In February 2012 I’ll be excitedly returning to India where I’ll spend my first month as a solo traveler. May our paths be destined to cross...
